How Power Generation can help Oil & Gas sector to reduce emission.

Suresh Kumar

Thought the below link must be interesting to members. The link is from Siemens Energy explaining their recent pilot project for Waste Heat recovery systems. It will convert waste heat from a gas turbine operating at an O&G pipeline compression station into emissions-free power using supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2). It will reduce emissions equivalent to ~9000 vehicles taken off road whilst providing electricity to ~10,000 houses. I think globally we need to have more such synergies between different technologies from different segments to help each other.
